Temporary Grade 3-6 Kiswahili Apprentice Teacher

About the role

Nova Pioneer seeks a Temporary Grade 3-6 Kiswahili Apprentice Teacher to join the Tatu Primary School Campus for a two‑month period. The apprentice will deliver Kiswahili instruction using the school’s competency‑based, enquiry‑driven curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging Kiswahili lessons for Grades 3‑6.
• Collaborate daily with the resident teacher to co‑create a supportive classroom environment.
• Participate in professional‑development activities, team meetings and instructional coaching.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies based on data.
• Engage with staff, students and parents between 7 am and 5 pm.
• Infuse enthusiasm and a love of learning into every lesson.

Required profile

• Dynamic individual with a passion for the CBE curriculum.
• Ready to start immediately and commit to a two‑month term.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain an organized learning space.

Required skills

• Fluency in Kiswahili.
• Knowledge of competency‑based education principles.
• Ability to deliver enquiry‑based lessons.
• Basic classroom assessment and data‑driven instruction.
