Temporary Specialized Educational Intervenor – East & South Region

About the role

The York Catholic District School Board is seeking a Temporary Specialized Educational Intervenor (SEI) to support student safety and independence across schools in the East and South regions. This itinerant position starts immediately and lasts for a 10‑month term, reporting to the school principal.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support Individual Education Plans for K‑12 students with moderate to severe safety or physical needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide data, feedback, and progress monitoring.
• Assist students in developing skills for safe participation in the educational environment.
• Provide a broad range of accommodations tailored to each student’s needs.
• Be prepared for relocation or transfer to any school within the preferred geographical area as required.

Required profile

• Experience working with students who have special needs and safety‑related requirements.
• Ability to work under the direction of a school principal and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel between multiple school sites in the East and South regions.
• Commitment to a 35‑hour work week and a 10‑month temporary assignment.
