Temporary Specialized Educational Intervenor – South & West (CUPE 2331)

About the role

The York Catholic District School Board is seeking a Temporary Specialized Educational Intervenor (SEI) for the South and West area. This itinerant position supports student safety and independence across multiple schools, reporting to the principal of the assigned school.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans for K‑12 students with moderate to severe safety or physical needs.
• Provide direct classroom and school‑wide support to promote student independence and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and administrators.
• Adapt to assignments in any of the listed South and West schools as required.

Required profile

• Experience working with students who have special educational needs.
• Ability to follow direction from the school principal and adhere to board policies.
• Flexibility to work in an itinerant capacity across multiple school sites.

Required skills

• Knowledge of safety‑related interventions for students with physical or developmental challenges.
• Understanding of Individual Education Plans and related documentation.

• Band M hourly wage ranging from $40.24 to $42.61 (CAD).
