Tour Consultant – Travel Sales & Planning

About the role

The company is seeking a motivated Tour Consultant to join its travel sales team in Nairobi. You will design personalized itineraries, promote tour packages and ensure seamless travel experiences for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and recommend customized travel itineraries based on client preferences and budgets.
• Promote tour packages, holiday deals and travel services to generate sales.
• Identify upselling opportunities such as upgrades, excursions and travel insurance.
• Handle flight, hotel and tour bookings using online reservation systems, confirming availability and pricing.
• Provide client support via phone, email and in‑person consultations, delivering clear travel information and resolving issues.
• Assist clients with travel documentation and coordinate with airlines, hotels and tour operators.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, sales and client interactions; prepare regular performance reports.
• Support general office administration and travel database management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in the tours and travel industry.
• Strong communication, sales and negotiation abilities.
• High organizational and problem‑solving skills.
