Training of Trainers Consultant – Carbon Credits (20‑25 days)

About the role

Hand in Hand Eastern Africa is seeking an experienced consultant to design and deliver a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on carbon credits for its Waste to Profit (WASP) project. The assignment lasts 20‑25 working days and focuses on building technical capacity within the project team to cascade carbon‑market knowledge to waste‑sector beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive ToT curriculum covering carbon market fundamentals, credit generation methodologies, and verification processes.
• Facilitate interactive training sessions for WASP staff, ensuring they acquire both technical understanding and facilitation skills.
• Produce training materials, toolkits, and practical exercises tailored to waste‑based enterprises.
• Assess participants’ learning outcomes and provide recommendations for ongoing support.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Proven background in carbon markets, climate finance, or environmental consultancy.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programmes for adult learners.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups.
