Travel/Tour Consultant

About the role

The Travel/Tour Consultant will join Shoor Safaris Kenya in Nairobi to design and manage tour packages for inbound and outbound clients. The role combines itinerary planning, customer service and coordination with partners across East Africa and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and create flexible tour itineraries, excursions, safaris and related services tailored to client needs.
• Prepare accurate quotations, manage reservations and follow up leads to convert inquiries into sales.
• Research and source new product packages, ensuring competitive pricing and market relevance.
• Liaise with hotels, airlines, and tour operators for group bookings and partnership arrangements.
• Provide pre‑trip briefings and translate itineraries where required.
• Monitor social media channels and contribute to marketing activities.
• Identify emerging business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the agency.

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE grade B‑ (or equivalent secondary qualification).
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Tourism, Travel, Hospitality or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in a travel or tour agency, preferably with exposure to international partners.
• Strong planning, organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Outgoing, self‑motivated personality with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with networking and prospecting capabilities.
