Treasury Manager – Mining Sector (Sierra Leone)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Treasury Manager to lead treasury operations within a dynamic mining environment in Sierra Leone. The role focuses on liquidity management, regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily, weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Oversee banking operations, payment approvals, working‑capital optimisation and cash utilisation.
• Lead commodity‑hedging activities, including strategy, execution, monitoring, valuation and reporting.
• Ensure IFRS compliance for treasury and derivative transactions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting activities and provide backup to the Accounting function.
• Develop and lead the treasury team while maintaining strong internal controls and governance.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, mine operations and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in Treasury, Finance or related functions.
• Mining industry experience; Africa experience highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, treasury operations, cash management, banking and hedging.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multicultural and international teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
