Underwriting Credit Analyst (French Speaking)

About the role
The Underwriting Credit Analyst will own credit risk analysis for Citi corporate clients in Sub‑Saharan Africa, conducting annual and quarterly reviews and supporting ad‑hoc transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Assess credit and financial strength of corporate clients using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Prepare credit analysis memos, assign internal ratings, and ensure credit extensions stay within risk appetite.
- Continuously monitor the portfolio, track industry trends, and escalate potential issues to senior underwriters and risk partners.
- Collaborate with regional banking and risk teams to implement credit assessment and monitoring standards.
Required profile
- 0‑3 years of experience in banking, credit risk management or related financial services.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret liquidity, leverage and other financial metrics.
- Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, speaking).
- BA/BSc or higher in Business, Finance or related field.
