US Freight & Long-Haul Truck Dispatcher (Sales Associate)

About the role

We are looking for a high‑energy US Freight & Long‑Haul Truck Dispatcher to operate from Nairobi. You will manage end‑to‑end logistics for North‑American long‑haul loads, source high‑yielding freight, negotiate rate confirmations, and keep drivers moving efficiently during US business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Search US load boards (DAT One, Truckstop) to source, negotiate and book high‑RPM loads for dry‑van, reefer or flatbed equipment.
• Issue clear dispatch instructions, plan optimal routes, monitor Hours of Service via ELDs and resolve on‑road delays.
• Maintain relationships with US brokers, conduct check‑calls and negotiate detention, layover or TONU pay.
• Verify rate confirmations, Bills of Lading and Proof of Delivery, and enter all data into the TMS.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience or knowledge of US OTR freight dispatching.
• Familiarity with DAT One, Truckstop.com and US freight corridors, DOT/FMCSA rules and HOS compliance.
• Flawless spoken and written English and confidence negotiating with US brokers.
• Availability to work the 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM EAT night shift.
