Warehouse Management Trainee (Athi River)

About the role

This is a hands‑on trainee role focused on warehouse management in Athi River. You will rotate through core warehouse functions, gaining practical experience in daily operations, inventory control and system usage while supporting the logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking and shipping to ensure accurate goods flow.
• Support inventory management tasks such as data verification, cycle counting, handling surplus/shortage and reporting obsolete items.
• Operate warehouse management systems (e.g., OCPWMS) and business systems (e.g., SPMS), follow abnormal handling procedures during system failures, and perform timely data entry after recovery.
• Process warehouse documents (delivery notes, return notes, manual outbound notes) and ensure complete approval and accurate information.
• Coordinate loading, unloading and distribution activities on‑site and verify vehicle and driver details for outbound shipments.
• Maintain warehouse safety standards and assist in cost control by understanding warehousing cost components.
• Help manage loss control by participating in handling damaged inventory and other loss‑related activities.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or candidate with up to one year of work experience.
• Full‑time undergraduate degree or higher in mathematics, accounting, finance, statistics or other quantitative disciplines.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work with sales, finance, transportation, customers and drivers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to address system failures, inventory discrepancies and customer complaints following established procedures.
