Youth Coordinator (Local User & Content Administrator) – Kwale

About the role

Youth Coordinators in Kwale will serve as Local User and Content Administrators, mobilising young people and creating digital content to support CSEA and GBV prevention and community engagement. The role requires strong community connections, an interest in filmmaking or digital storytelling, and good interpersonal skills within an NGO media and community‑development environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Local User and Content Administrator, managing digital platforms and uploading youth‑generated content.
• Mobilise young people in Kwale to create and share media that raises awareness on child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) and gender‑based violence (GBV).
• Support community‑based activities, including field engagements and outreach events, to strengthen protection systems.

Required profile

• Young person living in or strongly connected to Kwale (or one of the 14 target counties).
• Understanding of the local youth, creative and community ecosystem.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in filmmaking, digital content creation, social media, community mobilisation, communications, journalism, arts or storytelling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with peers.
• Commitment to CSEA/GBV prevention, child protection, SRHR, youth empowerment and community development.
