About the role
Imara TV is looking for a Youth Coordinator in Siaya to act as a Local User and Content Administrator. The role involves mobilising young people, creating digital content, and supporting community‑based prevention of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) and gender‑based violence (GBV).
Key responsibilities
- Mobilise and engage youth groups to raise awareness on CSEA and GBV prevention.
- Create and curate digital storytelling and multimedia content for the programme’s communication channels.
- Support community‑based activities, field engagements and referral pathways as needed.
- Maintain and update local digital platforms, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing.
Required profile
- Young person residing in or strongly connected to Siaya (or one of the 14 target counties).
- Understanding of the local youth, creative and community ecosystem.
- Interest or experience in filmmaking, digital content creation, social media, community mobilisation, journalism or storytelling.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work with peers.
- Comfortable using digital and social media platforms and willing to support occasional field work.
- Commitment to CSEA/GBV prevention, child protection and youth empowerment.
