About the role
The Youth Network Coordinator will lead the design and implementation of an inter‑agency Youth Network Group, focusing on forcibly displaced and vulnerable adolescents in the PROSPECTS countries, the MENA region and Eastern & Southern Africa. Working remotely from Nairobi, the consultant will collaborate with UNICEF PROSPECTS country offices, UNHCR, ILO and other partners to ensure meaningful youth participation in programme planning, advocacy and decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Consult and design the structure, objectives and governance of the Youth Network Group.
- Recruit, select and onboard young participants from target regions.
- Develop a roadmap, workplan and capacity‑strengthening activities for the network.
- Coordinate and facilitate youth engagement at country and regional levels.
- Lead advocacy, learning and knowledge‑management processes, including documentation and dissemination of best practices.
- Foster collaboration, peer‑exchange and learning across MENA and Eastern & Southern Africa.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Advocacy, Development Studies, Human Rights, Child Rights or related field.
- 3‑5 years of professional experience in international development, advocacy or knowledge management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi‑stakeholder partnerships and youth groups.
- Strong analytical and coordination skills, with experience in remote project delivery.
