Accountant – Nairobi or Kisii

About the role

The client, a leading beer distribution company, is looking for a highly organized and results‑oriented Accountant to support finance operations in either Nairobi or Kisii. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage accounting processes and provide timely insights to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Perform reconciliations, stock variance reports and monitor customer accounts, debt collection and credit limits.
• Forecast cash flows, support budgeting and financial planning, and maintain accounting records, contracts, tax and statutory filings.
• Operate Pastel ERP for stock receipts, issues, cash and M‑Pay postings, and generate related reports.
• Balance stock records between Pastel and Excel, process customer orders, receipts, cheques and banking transactions.
• Compile daily operational reports, update acknowledgement registers and record meeting minutes.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and provide financial analysis to management.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA (K) qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting and debt management.
• Proficiency in Pastel Accounting and Microsoft Excel.

What we offer

• Gross monthly salary KES 35,000 – 55,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
