Adjunct Instructor – Automotive Management

About the role

Ferris State University’s College of Engineering and Technology is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate automotive management courses. The position is part‑time, temporary and may be filled on a semester‑by‑semester basis across multiple Michigan campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person instruction for courses such as Automotive Foundations, Marketing & Distribution, Accounting, Culture, Fixed/Variable Operations Management, Warranty & Customer Relations, and Internet & Social Media Marketing.
• Maintain office hours of at least one hour per class to support student success.
• Integrate current technology and industry practices into classroom activities.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in automotive management or a closely related field, or a master’s degree out of field with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline.
• Relevant industry experience (minimum three years for a bachelor’s degree holder, or five years for a bachelor’s degree without a master’s).
• Previous experience teaching career and technical education at the college level is preferred.
• Residency in Michigan after hire.
