Africa Light Cargo Sanitary Ware Sales Manager

About the role

The Light Cargo Sales Manager – Africa will be responsible for driving sanitary ware sales through light‑cargo distribution channels across multiple African markets. Based in Johannesburg, the role reports to senior management and combines sales leadership with logistics coordination to expand market share.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Africa light‑cargo sanitary ware sales team to achieve and exceed regional sales targets.
• Set KPIs, sales objectives and provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, monitor competitors and propose market entry strategies.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing models, promotional activities and incentive schemes.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective light‑cargo deliveries and compliance with shipping and customs regulations.
• Organise product, technical and customer‑service training for the sales team.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and market intelligence for senior management.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales leadership within the sanitary ware or related building‑materials sector.
• Strong understanding of light‑cargo logistics and African market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales plans and drive revenue growth.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and team‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple markets simultaneously.
