AI Engineer

About the role

NestAI is seeking an AI Engineer to bridge cutting‑edge machine‑learning research with production‑grade applications for modern battlefield operations. You will design intelligent logic, develop adaptive workflows, and create decision‑making frameworks that run on both cloud platforms and edge hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms for sequential decision‑making, autonomous behaviour, and LLM‑driven applications.
• Develop custom training routines, fine‑tune foundation models, and optimise loss functions for robustness across diverse environments.
• Collaborate with platform, embedded and cloud teams to optimise AI models for high‑performance execution on scalable cloud services and low‑latency edge devices such as NVIDIA Jetson.
• Build data pipelines, testing environments and high‑fidelity simulations to validate models and workflows.
• Choose between Internal Product R&D (core infrastructure, cloud‑based applications) or Forward Deployed Engineering (field integration, stakeholder collaboration).

Required profile

• Strong background in advanced machine learning and AI research.
• Experience turning research prototypes into production‑ready systems.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams including embedded, cloud and hardware engineers.
• Comfort operating in dynamic, defence‑oriented environments.
