About the role
The Department of Zoology at Maseno University is seeking a Grade Four Animal Attendant to provide daily care for laboratory animals and support researchers and learners in their experimental work.
Key responsibilities
- Provide daily care for laboratory animals such as mice, rats, and rabbits, ensuring proper feeding, cleaning, and overall welfare.
- Observe animals for signs of illness, maintain hygiene in the facility, and report any health concerns.
- Assist learners and researchers with animal restraint, vaccination, dissections, sample collection, and administration of treatments.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor as needed.
