Inpatient Pharmacy In‑Charge

About the role

The Inpatient Pharmacy In‑Charge will lead the IP pharmacy operations, ensuring safe medication dispensing, accurate billing and effective inventory management in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain pharmacy equipment in good working condition and ensure 100% accurate billing of drugs.
• Oversee prescription processing, labeling, counter‑checking and client communication.
• Manage stock levels, conduct daily/spot counts and monthly stock takes, and report variances and expiries.
• Capture all stock movements in the Hospital Information System (HIS) in real time.
• Generate purchase orders, receive and verify deliveries, and ensure proper handling of near‑expiry drugs.
• Monitor fridge temperatures, handle out‑of‑stock escalations and quality issues, and enforce infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and a valid PPB practicing license.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong organizational awareness, attention to detail and reliable teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Hospital Management Systems and inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of medication safety checks, billing procedures and regulatory compliance (PPB).
