Assistant Manager – Sales (Automotive)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Sales (Automotive) will lead a dedicated team responsible for selling vehicles, overseeing the full sales cycle from enquiry to delivery, and expanding the customer base within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the sales team to achieve market‑share, volume, and revenue targets.
• Conduct sales activities including calls, market visits, presentations, negotiations and post‑sales support.
• Identify, acquire and nurture major customers and develop complex transaction structures such as trade‑ins, financing and ancillary services.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Provide accurate market forecasts, sales reports and ensure compliance with company policies, KYC and credit documentation.
• Coordinate with service, parts, finance, accounting and remarketing departments to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on calls, visits, activity plans, pipeline and performance against targets.
• Deliver product knowledge training to team members, dealers and customers.
• Explore new markets, gather market intelligence and promote sales activities in the assigned geography.

Required profile

• Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field.
• Proven experience as a sales representative in the automotive sector.
• Strong product knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Problem‑solving ability and customer‑focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
