About the role
The Kenya Methodist University TVET Institute is seeking an Assistant Trainer to deliver competence‑based training in Business Management. The role is on‑site in Meru and requires a strong academic background combined with practical teaching skills.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver competence‑based Business Management training sessions in line with CBET/CBA standards.
- Prepare teaching materials, assessments and feedback mechanisms to support student learning.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing guidance and remedial support as needed.
- Collaborate with institute staff to ensure curriculum alignment and continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, with CBET/CBA and pedagogy training.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly organized, hard‑working and committed to high ethical standards.
