Associate Dean of Instruction & Learning – Tatu Primary

About the role

Nova Pioneer is seeking an outstanding educator to serve as Associate Dean of Instruction and Learning at its Tatu Primary campus. The role combines teaching responsibilities with instructional leadership, coaching teachers and shaping the school’s learning culture.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to ten lessons per week in your subject specialization.
• Collaborate with the Principal to define short‑ and long‑term vision for school culture and academic programmes.
• Model high expectations, joy and a growth mindset for learning.
• Lead key rituals to embed the desired culture.
• Identify and address classroom or behaviour issues promptly.
• Conduct instructional sessions for parents and external stakeholders.
• Provide feedback to the Teacher Lesson Design team on lesson plans.
• Coordinate with the Operations Associate on learning materials and resources.
• Serve as hiring manager for instructional staff.
• Coach teachers through observations, feedback and walkthroughs.
• Oversee professional development activities across the school.
• Facilitate collaboration among teachers across grades and subjects.
• Collect, analyse and use assessment data to improve student performance.
