Billing Analyst I

About the role

MENTUM is seeking a Billing Analyst I to support its international programs. The role focuses on preparing accurate invoice packages, reconciling labor postings, and ensuring compliance with contract funding and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed invoice packages with proper documentation according to policies.
• Reconcile labor postings for time‑and‑materials billing and create correcting journal entries.
• Classify billable vs. non‑billable costs and validate system transaction accuracy.
• Conduct unbilled analysis, accounts‑receivable aging, and track invoice status.
• Follow up with field and US‑based teams on invoice and cost status, and rework rejected invoices promptly.
• Review and monitor contract funding, respond to audit requests, and verify subcontractor invoices.
• Perform other program accounting and billing tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 3‑5+ years in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a billing function.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Advanced university‑level math skills and intense attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze complex discrepancies, define problems, and propose solutions independently.
