Billing Analyst I

About the role

As a Billing Analyst I at Amentum, you will support international programs by preparing and managing invoice packages, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining compliance with company policies. This role requires strong analytical abilities and attention to detail to handle complex financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed invoice packages with appropriate documentation and backup.
• Reconcile labor postings for Time & Materials (T&M) billing.
• Create correcting journal entries for billing adjustments.
• Classify billable versus non‑billable costs according to program standards.
• Validate accuracy of system transactions and research historical transactions.
• Conduct unbilled and accounts‑receivable aging analyses.
• Track invoice status, follow up with field and US‑based teams, and rework rejected invoices promptly.
• Review contract funding, respond to audit requests, and verify subcontractor invoices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a billing function.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Advanced university‑level math skills and intense attention to detail.
• Ability to define problems, analyze data, and propose solutions independently.
• Experience supporting international customers is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and overall MS Office suite.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics; Cost Point experience is a plus.
