Branch Accounts Officer – Kenya (Bungoma, Busia & Siaya)

About the role

The Branch Accounts Officer will manage all financial and cash operations at the branch level for BRAC Kenya Company Limited. The role ensures accurate transaction processing, effective cash control, timely reconciliations, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately process and post loan disbursements, repayments, reversals and other approved financial transactions in the Core Banking System (CBS).
• Verify completeness and authenticity of supporting documentation before processing any transaction.
• Ensure all transactions are properly authorised and comply with maker‑checker controls.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all transaction records for audit purposes.
• Support Branch Credit Committee meetings by providing financial verification and transaction readiness updates.
• Assist with loan control activities, including monitoring disbursements and collections.
• Safeguard branch assets and uphold strong internal controls.

Required profile

• Experience in banking, micro‑finance or similar financial operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify documentation.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to work under established policies and regulatory frameworks.

Required skills

• Core Banking System (CBS) operation
