Branch Manager - Funeral Home

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Branch Manager for a funeral home in Kabati, Murang'a County. The role covers overseeing branch operations, supporting bereaved families, leading the team and driving business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all branch operations and coordinate funeral arrangements, transportation, mortuary services and customer support, ensuring adherence to company policies and service standards.
• Ensure clients and bereaved families receive compassionate, professional and timely support, handle complaints and escalations, and build relationships with hospitals, mortuaries, religious institutions and other stakeholders.
• Supervise branch staff, manage performance, attendance and discipline, conduct training, coaching and performance evaluations, and foster teamwork.
• Support branch growth and service promotion, develop relationships with hospitals, healthcare facilities, insurance providers and community organisations, and identify ways to increase revenue.
• Manage branch budgets and expenses, ensure accurate billing, collections and financial reporting, monitor profitability and cost control, and keep accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, legal and regulatory requirements, manage risks and sensitive client information, oversee incident reporting, and prepare operational, financial and performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, mortuary, funeral home, insurance, hospitality or related service environment is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing teams and operations.
