Business Coach for CASHA Program in Taita Taveta

About the role

The CASHA Business Coach will support the Rural Entrepreneur Access Project (REAP) by providing mentorship, business development services, and data‑driven guidance to ultra‑poor women in the arid and semi‑arid lands of Kenya. The role focuses on livestock and agriculture value chains, helping micro‑enterprises grow, access markets, and become financially resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver business development services (BDS) to women‑led SMEs along livestock and agri‑related value chains.
• Mentor and coach entrepreneurs on market entry, growth strategies, and financial management.
• Collect, enter, and analyse field data to generate insights for decision‑making.
• Manage project activities, monitor progress, and report outcomes to the REAP team.
• Facilitate the formation and operation of BOMA savings associations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, Livestock or related field.
• 3‑5 years experience working with young entrepreneurs, SMEs, and rural value chains.
• Proven track record delivering business development services and fostering social inclusion in ASAL regions.
• Valid A1/A2 motorcycle license and ability to ride a motorcycle.
• Resident of the county where the CASHA program is implemented.
