Business Growth and Development Manager

About the role

The Business Growth and Development Manager will lead a small to medium‑sized team of advisors at the Ngong Road branch. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, driving demand for financial products, and achieving the branch’s commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and align the local action plan with the organisation’s strategy and motivate the team to meet business goals.
• Develop and execute relationship‑management plans for existing accounts, gathering feedback and ensuring customer needs are addressed.
• Identify and present suitable financial products and services, negotiating terms where necessary.
• Generate new sales opportunities through referrals, trade shows, and targeted prospecting.
• Monitor personal and team performance, allocate work, and take corrective actions to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Provide operational support and supervise transactional processes using existing systems and protocols.
• Collaborate on internal communications to strengthen external customer relationships.
• Deliver specialised support for key accounts and handle complex customer inquiries.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of advisors.
• Strong customer‑relationship management experience in the financial services sector.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and creating new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills to convey action plans and motivate staff.
• Ability to analyse customer feedback and recommend service improvements.
