Business Growth & Development Manager – Kiambu

About the role

Working closely with the Area Manager, the Business Growth & Development Manager formulates and implements the overall business strategy for the Kiambu branch, assessing opportunities to grow a quality portfolio, drive digital and agency banking adoption and Bancassurance through client acquisition, retention and strong relationship management. The role leads the branch team, Ignite Associates and Sales Consultants to achieve aggressive growth and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch business initiatives and turnaround strategies aligned with Faulu’s overall growth objectives.
• Lead business growth and development across the branch, agencies and alternative service outlets, driving sales of all products and services.
• Initiate, nurture and maintain profitable relationships with customers, community and government structures.
• Ensure branch portfolio quality by achieving assets, liabilities and income targets while managing risk and compliance.
• Promote Faulu’s brand visibility through community engagement and strategic marketing activities.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing branch team through coaching, mentorship and succession planning.
• Oversee cost management, budgeting and financial performance monitoring to optimise resource utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Kenya guidelines, health and safety standards and internal audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field from a recognised university.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in banking sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role delivering superior results.
• Proven track record in lending/credit, micro‑finance or financial institutions and strong relationship‑management capability.
