Cashier – Full-time in Kisumu

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cashier to join our team in Kisumu on a full‑time basis. The role involves handling cash transactions, ensuring tax compliance, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage physical cash operations, approve client payments, and perform routine bank and sales reconciliations.
• Process withholding taxes, issue electronic tax receipts (ETRs) and invoices, and adhere to e‑TIMS and national tax regulations.
• Audit incoming customer orders to verify financial accuracy before final processing.
• Address client inquiries, complaints, and disputes with patience, professionalism, and composure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with a solid foundation in accounts or finance.
• High level of integrity, honesty, and reliability when handling financial assets.
• Excellent communication skills and an easy‑going personality for smooth interactions with clients and internal teams.
• Willingness to work in Kisumu and ability to stay composed under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with e‑TIMS and tax compliance processes.
