Cashier – Petty Cash Management

About the role

Comply Industries Limited is looking for a meticulous Cashier to manage petty cash, verify expenses and perform daily cash reconciliations. The role is based in Nairobi and supports the manufacturing/engineering operations by ensuring all small‑scale transactions are accurate and well documented.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and safeguard the petty cash fund, disburse cash for approved expenses and request replenishment as needed.
• Record all receipts and payments in the accounting system, classify expenses by cost centre and keep organized audit files.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations, report any shortages or discrepancies immediately.
• Verify the authenticity of receipts and invoices, ensure compliance with spending limits and manage staff advances.
• Prepare periodic petty cash summaries, balance reports and replenishment requests for accountant review.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Understanding of petty cash controls and basic bookkeeping.
• Ability to prepare vouchers and ensure numerical accuracy.
