Channel & Store Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Channel & Store Operations Lead to drive our market entry and growth in Kenya. You will manage day‑to‑day operations, lead a team of regional sales representatives, and oversee the launch of our first retail stores.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall Kenya project operations and report progress to headquarters.
• Lead a team of 4 Regional Sales Representatives, driving customer acquisition, store development and installer partnerships.
• Plan and execute the launch of first‑wave retail stores, including site selection, fit‑out, demo units, marketing materials and grand openings.
• Coordinate with client teams, technical teams, warehouse, finance and sales assistants to ensure smooth order fulfillment and documentation.
• Produce weekly reports on project progress, sales pipeline, store development and regional performance.
• Identify under‑performing regions or personnel and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Marketing, Business Management, Retail Management, Electrical, Energy, Engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in channel sales, regional management, B2B sales, retail operations or the renewable energy/solar/electrical industry.
• Proven team‑management experience with strong negotiation and project execution skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Kenya and conduct regular store and client visits.
• Good English communication skills.
