Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Joint Venture between Kenya Airways and Safari Group of Companies is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead financial management and support long‑term growth. The CFO will sit on the Executive Leadership Team, providing financial guidance to the CEO and Board while ensuring sound financial health and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead long‑term financial planning, capital allocation, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and ensure timely preparation of statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage treasury functions, cash flow, liquidity and funding strategies.
• Evaluate business opportunities, investments, acquisitions and expansion initiatives through rigorous financial analysis.
• Ensure robust internal controls, risk management, compliance and corporate governance across the joint venture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance within retail and distribution businesses.
• Strong understanding of joint‑venture governance and commercial finance.
• Proven track record of leading financial transformation and supporting business growth.
• Senior leadership experience with the ability to influence C‑level executives and boards.
