Claims Representative – Provider Service Organisation

About the role

The Claims Representative will handle basic technical and administrative claims tasks, processing both paper and electronic medical, dental, and vision claims from healthcare providers. Working under direct supervision, this entry‑level position offers a pathway into professional claims roles within Cigna.

Key responsibilities

• Adjudicate international medical, dental and vision claims in line with policy terms to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Monitor high‑cost claims and ensure relevant parties are informed.
• Track turnaround times, highlighting any delays to the supervisor.
• Respond to enquiries about plan design, eligibility and claim status, aiming for first‑call resolution.
• Interface with internal and external customers to resolve provider issues.
• Own the provider’s assigned country cluster and identify process improvements.
• Support team members to achieve collective goals and handle ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to meet/exceed targets and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred qualifications in English and Arithmetic.
• Experience in medical administration, claims or contact‑centre environments is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Initiative to recommend and implement process improvements.
• Organizational skills to prioritize workflow and exercise judgement.
