About the role
The County Government of Kitui is hiring a Clerical Officer II for a full-time, on-site position in Kitui County. The post covers general administrative support, including office correspondence, report preparation, visitor reception and record keeping. The deadline for applications is 16 November 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Compiling statistical records
- Sorting, filing and dispatching letters
- Maintaining an efficient filing system
- Processing appointments, promotions, discipline, transfers and other related human resource management duties
- Computing financial or statistical records from routine or special sources of information
- Preparing payment vouchers
- Compiling data and drafting simple letters
Required profile
- Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration, Secretarial Studies or a related field
- Kenyan citizenship
- KCSE mean grade C plain or its approved equivalent
Required skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
