Client Relationship Officer – Rural Kenya

About the role

The Client Relationship Officer will be the primary point of contact for BRAC Kenya’s clients in Busia, Bungoma and Siaya counties. Working in the field, you will promote BRAC’s micro‑finance products, onboard new borrowers and support them throughout the loan lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Promote BRAC Kenya’s financial products at individual, household and community levels.
• Identify, select and onboard eligible clients in line with the organisation’s inclusion goals.
• Initiate loan applications, conduct credit appraisals and ensure timely disbursements.
• Facilitate regular group meetings and maintain accurate client records.
• Collect repayments according to schedule and manage delinquency cases per policy.
• Log, resolve or escalate client complaints in coordination with the Customer Service Officer.
• Adhere to Client Protection standards, internal policies and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in client‑facing roles, preferably within micro‑finance or rural financial services.
• Ability to travel across Busia, Bungoma and Siaya counties and work in remote communities.
• Strong understanding of loan processing, credit appraisal and repayment collection.
• Commitment to gender inclusion and empowerment of women in poverty.
