CNC Cylindrical & Surface Grinding Machinist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Cylindrical & Surface Grinding Machinist to join our permanent, full‑time team. You will work in a high‑precision environment, handling both CNC universal cylindrical and manual grinding operations on mold components.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor one or more CNC grinding machines, moving between machines as priorities change.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to determine grinding requirements.
• Grind mold components to tight tolerances, ensuring all parts meet specifications, fits, and preload requirements.
• Verify dimensions using micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Perform multi‑functional duties during short‑ to medium‑run production batches.
• Collaborate with team members and follow TGM standards and best practices.
• Complete assigned work in a timely and productive manner.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree.
• 2‑5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in grinding.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering principles.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb.
