Concrete Mixer Truck Drivers (Zoomlion 12m³)

About the role

LED Power Technologies (E.A.) K LTD is seeking 10 experienced heavy commercial vehicle drivers to operate 2022 ZOOMLION 12m³ concrete mixer trucks mounted on HOWO / SINOTRUK chassis. The drivers will transport and deliver ready-mix concrete safely and efficiently, and care for the vehicle and its systems. Applications are closed.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate the mixer truck on public roads and construction sites, and deliver ready-mix concrete.
• Operate the mixer drum, discharge chute and associated systems correctly.
• Carry out pre-trip, on-route and post-trip inspections, and report defects, leaks and abnormal operation.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and keep the vehicle clean.
• Maintain accurate vehicle, journey and defect records, and report accidents, incidents and near misses immediately.
• Follow site safety procedures and PPE requirements, and comply with Kenyan traffic laws and NTSA regulations.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan Class CE driving licence.
• Substantial professional heavy-commercial-vehicle driving experience.
• Demonstrable concrete mixer truck experience or comparable heavy construction-vehicle experience.
• Experience with HOWO / SINOTRUK trucks and 12m³ or larger mixers; direct experience with ZOOMLION mixers and batching plants is preferred.
• Previous experience on major construction projects and a clean, verifiable driving record.
• Willingness to work at construction sites and assigned routes within Kenya.

Required skills

• Practical mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge of heavy-vehicle operation and road safety.
• NTSA certificate and, as an added advantage, certification or proof of mechanic training.
