Consultancy – Annual Credit Profiles & Graduation Model for SHGs

About the role

Habitat for Humanity Kenya is seeking a short‑term consultant to design annual credit profiles and a graduation model for 20 self‑help groups (approximately 400 members) in the Solio Settlement Scheme, Laikipia County. The assignment lasts one month and focuses on strengthening the financial resilience of vulnerable households.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse financial data from each self‑help group.
• Develop standardized annual credit profiles for all 20 groups.
• Design a graduation model that outlines criteria and pathways for groups to transition out of support.
• Prepare clear documentation and presentation materials for Habitat for Humanity staff and partners.
• Provide recommendations for monitoring and follow‑up mechanisms.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in micro‑finance, community‑based financial services, or similar development projects.
• Proven ability to work with self‑help groups or cooperatives.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to work independently on a tight timeline.
