About the role
The Raspberry Pi Foundation seeks an experienced Country Director to lead its work in Kenya. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will drive the Foundation’s strategy, expand reach, and ensure programmes benefit educators and young people most in need.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase the reach and impact of the Foundation’s products in Kenya.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with government, NGOs and other mission‑aligned partners.
- Lead engagement with senior education stakeholders, influencing policy and networks.
- Ensure programmes have robust monitoring, evaluation and data‑driven improvement plans.
- Collaborate across the Foundation to adapt educational products for Kenyan users.
- Build, lead and support a high‑performing, diverse team.
- Maintain commitments to accessibility, inclusion and safeguarding.
- Manage the Kenya budget and report progress to funders.
- Represent the Foundation externally and contribute to organisational leadership.
Required profile
- Significant track record of leading large‑scale educational programmes in Kenya.
- Experience developing high‑value partnerships with governments and NGOs.
- Established relationships with senior education officials and stakeholders.
- Proven senior management and leadership abilities, including remote team management.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and impact for underserved communities.
Required skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
- Ability to use data and feedback for programme improvement.
- Understanding of measuring learner success and impact.

- Competitive salary USD 65,000‑80,000 per year.
