About the role
VAS is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial Country Manager to launch and lead its Visa and Government Service Centers across Kenya. You will be responsible for building operations from the ground up, driving commercial performance, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a country strategy for opening and scaling visa service centers.
- Identify new locations, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
- Oversee end‑to‑end operations, ensuring high customer service standards, SOPs, SLAs, and continuous improvement.
- Own the country P&L, manage budgets, forecasts, pricing, and commercial agreements.
- Build, lead, and develop local leadership and operations teams, handling recruitment, performance management, and compliance with labor laws.
- Maintain full compliance with Kenyan regulations, licensing, data privacy, and risk management.
- Represent VAS with government authorities, embassies, consulates, vendors, and key partners.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in visa services, government outsourcing, BPO, or regulated service environments.
- Proven track record of building and scaling operations in Kenya or similar markets.
