Custody Sales Manager

About the role

The Custody Sales Manager will lead the growth of the bank’s custody services by acquiring new institutional and corporate clients and expanding existing relationships. Reporting to senior management, the role is responsible for shaping and executing the sales strategy, managing the pipeline, and delivering tailored custody solutions that align with the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a country‑wide custody sales strategy to increase assets under custody, client base and revenue.
• Identify, originate and convert new business opportunities across institutional investors, pension funds, fund managers, insurance companies and development finance institutions.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline through market intelligence, networking and industry engagement.
• Lead client acquisition activities including proposal preparation, responding to RFPs, delivering presentations and negotiating commercial terms.
• Achieve agreed sales, revenue and profitability targets for the custody franchise.
• Manage and deepen strategic relationships with key capital‑market participants, ensuring a high‑quality client experience throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product, operations and risk teams to design customized custody solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in custody, securities services or related financial‑services sales, preferably with institutional clients.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and asset‑growth targets.
• Strong understanding of capital‑market products, regulatory environment and custody operations.
• Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence internal stakeholders.
