DevOps Engineer – AWS, Terraform & ECS/Fargate

About the role

We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain reliable, secure, and cost‑efficient cloud infrastructure for high‑throughput, low‑latency production systems that run 24/7.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts, optimizing costs through right‑sizing and waste reduction.
• Manage containerised workloads with ECS/Fargate, Docker, ECR, ALBs, NLBs and autoscaling.
• Develop reusable, versioned Terraform modules and handle infrastructure changes across dev, QA, integration and production environments.
• Build and improve Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, including Groovy shared libraries, Jenkinsfiles, Java/Maven builds and early‑stage security scanning.
• Implement observability, monitoring, logging, alerting and incident‑troubleshooting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Fluent Bit, Logstash and OpenSearch.
• Create automation scripts, AWS Lambda functions and operational tools with Python (boto3) and Bash.
• Document runbooks and operational procedures, manage work through Jira and Confluence, and follow a pull‑request‑based workflow.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering supporting 24/7 production systems.
• Strong ownership mindset, ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with distributed teams.
• Security‑first approach with experience in vulnerability remediation and secure credential management.

Required skills

• AWS services: VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, ACM, CloudFront, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, SSM, CloudTrail.
• ECS/Fargate, Docker, ECR, ALB, NLB, autoscaling.
• Terraform (modules, remote state, version pinning).
• Jenkins CI/CD, Groovy, Java/Maven pipelines.
• Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Fluent Bit, Logstash, OpenSearch.
• Python (boto3), Bash, AWS Lambda.
• Streaming/Data: Kafka (MSK), Aerospike, EMR/EMR Serverless, Flink, Airflow, Athena, S3.
