Director, Country Cluster – Microfinance

About the role

The Director, Country Cluster will join the BIHBV Senior Management Team and provide strategic leadership for a group of BRAC International Microfinance subsidiaries. The role strengthens strategic, operational and systems capacity across the assigned cluster, ensuring alignment with the Annual Strategic Plan and consistent performance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of the approved Annual Strategic Plan through performance monitoring, gap identification and timely corrective actions.
• Maintain CEOs’ full executive accountability while acting as the primary escalation point for operational, regulatory, risk and reputational issues.
• Align BI MF priorities with entity‑level execution and serve as a strategic sounding board for CEOs.
• Coordinate support from central technical teams (Finance, Strategy, Operations, IT, HR, Audit) to address complex challenges.
• Facilitate stakeholder and government relationship management within a matrix structure.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑management experience in microfinance or financial services.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑entity clusters and drive strategic and operational performance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and governance oversight skills.
