Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations will lead Apeiro Kenya’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and long‑term growth within the digital health ecosystem. Reporting to senior leadership, this role bridges business strategy with technology delivery to ensure reliable, high‑impact health solutions for public and private stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.
• Build and maintain high‑trust relationships with finance heads, government and private partners to remove payment bottlenecks.
• Lead delivery of digital health projects, meeting timelines and transformation goals.
• Monitor team utilization, performance and resource allocation across the Kenya office.
• Establish knowledge‑management frameworks and produce thought‑leadership content (white papers, industry insights).
• Future focus: Directly manage Product and Engineering teams, aligning roadmaps with local market needs.
• Define, implement and monitor Service Level Agreements for system operations and maintenance.
• Ensure platform reliability, uptime and lifecycle management of health technology solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science or related field; MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
• 10+ years of senior operational or managerial experience, preferably within Kenya’s health‑technology sector.
• Proven track record in financial stewardship, stakeholder management and large‑scale project delivery.
