Driver / Rider – Delivery & Logistics

About the role

The Driver/Rider will ensure safe, timely and efficient delivery of Vision Plus products, documents and parcels to customers, dealers and partners across Nairobi and upcountry locations. The role involves operating cars, vans, trucks up to 3 tonnes and motorcycles, handling cash and documentation, and representing the Vision Plus brand professionally at every touch‑point.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver TVs, home appliances, audio systems and accessories to dealers, modern trade outlets and direct consumers, following planned routes to optimise fuel and time.
• Use a motorcycle for urgent small‑parcel and document deliveries within Nairobi and its environs.
• Load, secure and protect goods, especially fragile items, during transit.
• Present delivery notes, invoices and GRNs, collect signed proof‑of‑delivery and return documents to the Warehouse & Logistics team on the same day.
• Collect cash, cheques or M‑Pesa confirmations from customers and hand them to Finance promptly.
• Maintain a daily delivery log with mileage, fuel consumption and incidents.
• Perform pre‑trip inspections of vehicles and motorcycles, keep them clean and branded, and report any faults immediately.
• Collect returned or defective products and deliver them to the service centre or warehouse.
• Pick up stock from suppliers, clearing agents or the Step Up Technologies SEZ factory and deliver to the Nairobi warehouse.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence for cars, vans or trucks up to 3 tonnes and a valid motorcycle licence.
• Clean driving record and up‑to‑date insurance, NTSA inspection certificates and licences.
• Good knowledge of Nairobi and major upcountry routes.
• Ability to handle cash, cheques and electronic payment confirmations securely.
• Physical fitness to load and unload heavy items.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using Zoho Inventory for delivery documentation and system updates.
