Dry Material Stores Manager (Food Processing)

About the role

A food processing company in Ruiru is looking for an experienced Dry Material Stores Manager to oversee dry raw materials and warehouse operations. The manager keeps inventory levels optimal, ensures timely replenishment, manages inbound material flows and leads the warehouse team to high standards of productivity, efficiency and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily receiving, storage, handling and issuing of raw materials, keeping the warehouse organized and secure
• Monitor stock levels, usage and movements, and optimize inventory holding to minimize stock-outs, wastage and obsolete materials
• Run regular stock counts, reconciliations and investigations of inventory variances
• Plan inbound material flows according to production needs and procurement schedules, and coordinate with procurement, production and suppliers
• Inspect, document and store incoming materials properly
• Lead, supervise and develop the stores and warehouse team, allocate duties and promote teamwork and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, food safety requirements and company policies

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field; CPA is an added advantage
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or food processing
• Proven experience in warehouse, stores, inventory and raw material management
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
