Stores Manager - Food Processing Company

About the role

Brites Management Services is recruiting a full-time Stores Manager for a food processing company based in Ruiru. The role covers warehouse and stores operations, inventory control, inbound raw materials and team leadership, with a salary of KShs 110,000.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily receiving, storage, handling, issuing and dispatch of raw materials, packaging, finished goods and other inventory, applying FIFO/FEFO and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Monitor stock levels, set reorder points, run regular stock counts and reconcile inventory records in the ERP system, and manage slow-moving, obsolete and near-expiry stock.
• Plan receipt of raw materials and packaging, verify deliveries against purchase orders and coordinate with procurement, quality assurance and production.
• Work with production and planning to ensure materials are available, record authorised issuances and monitor consumption variances.
• Lead and train the stores and warehouse team on procedures, food safety, housekeeping and workplace safety, and report and investigate incidents.
• Record goods received, issued and transferred accurately, prepare regular stock and performance reports and keep documentation ready for audits.
• Monitor inventory carrying costs and improve warehouse layout and processes to reduce waste and delays.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field; CPA is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years' experience in stores, warehouse, inventory or supply chain management.
• Experience in FMCG, food processing, manufacturing or a related industry.
• Experience managing warehouse teams, inventory controls, stock reconciliations and ERP/inventory systems.
