East Africa Production and Scheduling Coordinator

About the role

The Production and Scheduling Coordinator will oversee planning and scheduling of field and processing activities across Bayer’s three East African sites – Kenya, Ethiopia and Tanzania. The role ensures end‑to‑end crop‑plan execution, from planting through harvest, delivery and processing, while maintaining high levels of transparency and adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production activities for all three sites, creating transparent crop‑plan execution.
• Collaborate with country production leads to forecast crop yields and achieve at least 95 % plan adherence.
• Develop crop delivery plans with Field Mission teams and target 95 % harvest adherence.
• Coordinate field sampling for SNP testing, meeting defined turn‑around times before harvesting.
• Work with the in‑season planning team to manage processing plans and reach 95 % processing‑plan adherence.
• Ensure production consumables are available in line with forecasts, in partnership with the procurement lead.
• Prepare KPI reports for Tier 3, S&OP and S&OE meetings and provide weekly production status updates.
• Maintain inventory visibility in SAP and support seed movement to finished‑goods warehouses.
• Document planning and scheduling records according to QMS and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Participate in 5‑Why problem‑solving, corrective actions and site safety programs aligned with ISO 45001.

Required profile

• Strong experience in agricultural production planning and coordination across multiple sites.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams including field, processing, procurement and safety.
• Excellent analytical skills for yield forecasting, KPI reporting and schedule management.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards.
