Electrical Engineer – UNON Conference Facilities Project (P4)

About the role
The United Nations Office at Nairobi is seeking an Electrical Engineer (P4) for a 364‑day fixed‑term assignment on the Conference Facilities Project. Reporting to the Chief of the Design and Construction Section, you will support the planning, design, construction and maintenance of major electrical systems.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse and advise on the design and construction of main power substations.
- Develop low and high voltage distribution networks for the project.
- Oversee installation of lighting and low‑current systems.
- Integrate building management systems (BMS) and related electrical installations.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Required profile
- University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional experience in large‑scale electrical infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work under the supervision of the Chief, Design and Construction Section.
